What We Believe
(1 Peter 1:19-21)
We Believe
The Holy Bible is a book consisting of the Scriptures of Moses, the prophets and the apostles (the Old and New Testaments). We believe that the original manuscripts were the dictates of “one directing Mind” (God), (2 Peter 1:21). These writers were the instruments of God’s hands, some whose names are unknown, ranging from a shepherd to a king in status. While they never met in a committee nor consulted one another about the words written, we believe that these writings are the inspired word of God and the authoritative rule of faith and conduct for all Christians (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Corinthians 2:13; Hebrews. 1:1; 1 Corinthians 14:37; Nehemiah 9:30; John 10:35).
We DO NOT consider the various translations as the Word of God (just the original manuscripts), but that these translations from the original manuscripts have been born out of a need for the Word of God to be transmitted to men of different races and languages.
We DO NOT claim that these translations are without error; for the translations are the works of mortal men who have made no claims that their works are the products of the inspiration of God or the assistance of the Holy Spirit.
We Believe
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:5-6)
We, therefore, accept the following as true:
We Believe There Is One God - (Deuteronomy 4:35, 4:39, 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6, 18, 22; Ephesians 4:6)

We Believe Our Fellowship is With God (The Father) & Jesus (His Son) - (1John 1:3; John 14:23)
We Believe The Name Of God came from God when he said ("that is my name") in Isaiah 42:8 (KJV), and ("by my name") in Exodus 6:2-3 (KJV), when God revealed his name to Moses: “I am the LORD H3068 ; and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty (“el shaday”), but by my name JEHOVAH H3068 was I not known to them.”
Note: Both LORD and JEHOVAH translate precisely into the same Hebrew word: YHWH.
Although originally represented by the Hebrew tetragrammaton (“four letters”) יהוה (Yod Heh Vav Heh), transliterated into Roman script Y H W H; yehôvâh, yeh-ho-vaw’, it is referenced 6510 times in the KJV as “LORD” H3068 , (the actual translated pronunciation varies between being “Yahweh” or “Jehovah”; either-way is sufficient for identifying scriptures that contain the name of God ) – [Isaiah 42:8 (KJV), Isaiah 42:8 (HCSB), Isaiah 42:8 (YLT)] [Exodus 3:15 (KJV), Exodus 3:15 (HCSB), Exodus 3:15 (YLT)] [Isaiah 45:5 (KJV), Isaiah 45:5 (HCSB), Isaiah 45:5 (YLT)]
